What was the best oral presentation you saw during the first cycle? Give your arguments and consider all the elements evaluated in the peer evaluation rubric. Waiting for your posts. Best regards from your teacher, Marcela.
I think every single presentation had its own style and at least all the presentations I saw were pretty cool. For instance, Paulina's one about the first woman that flew... I found the way she presented the information was quite original , and although I didn't know her character, Paulina's performance made me get into her.
Another great presentation was Pau's one about Marilyn Monroe... perhaps we all know what happenned to her or at least we have some kind of idea of who she was, but Pau presented her topic in such a creative way that I was amazed and she created a very positive ambiance among us.
Other presentations could be Daniela Villanueva's one about Milk... the same as Juan's one about Rooselvelt... politics is not my field but I found amazing their contribution to the progress in USA.
Novel presentation was also good, because of its final message. Valuea are also important beyond the knowledge presenters could have given us.
The work of my classmates, makes me realize of my weaknesses and also try to make a bigger effort in the next evaluations...
According what I've seen during presentations until one or two weeks ago, there were 4 topics who captivated my focus on that.
Leonardo Da Vinci, Charles Darwin, Siegmund Freud, and Bruce Lee were those interesting and accurately presentations.
Perhaps, it was the way of my classmates took those topics. Otherhand, it could be the manner in which they stand in front and explain things easily and managing some troubles during their performance.
In my point of view, it is really hard to evaluate the knowledge they had in a certain topic. Sometimes, I forgot to study the character of my classmate expositor before class, so it's complex to think if they were saying the truth or not.
According to the way my classmates presented the information, most of the presentation I saw were very interesting, neat and appropriate. I learnt many things thanks to them.
Now if we consider other aspects, for example interaction, grammar, pronunciation, volume of voice and so on, the list is reduced. So, taking into account these points, I think one of the best oral presentation was Esmeralda and Macarena's one.
I know all of us have a lot to learn , and I know they were not perfect, but as I wrote on the comments of the pair evaluation, they demostrated the level we need to have at this year, but obviously we must consider we have a long way to walk (as I said before)and that this (level)is the first step.
As a conclusion I think we need to consider all the points of the evaluation for the next presentation, because we have to demostrate ourselves we have improved, and that we have one step closer of being great teachers and not common teachers.
I really enjoyed the presentation of Paulina Muñoz, not because she is friend of mine, because it had a lot of everything:
1.-it was about someone that I didn't know 2.-it was well-prepared 3.-the costume that paulina used was awesome 4.-it was kind of "breaking" I mean about a woman that made her way through a profession mainly for men. 5.-Paulina knew about what she was talking about.
also I found interesting tha presentation of Charles Chaplin, the intro with no speech was funny and creative.
Hi everyone! I think there were many interesting presentations, but in my opinion there are some easier topics to prepare, maybe because some of them are more “famous” than others. I think the real merit is for ones who made an interesting presentation from a complex topic or perhaps a topic which at first sight could seem boring. In this sense, I think that Paulina made a very good presentation; she made a different performance she talked on first person all the time, making the presentation much more interesting. Her English was quite good, I liked her pronunciation and she looked very confidence on what she was doing, which is very important in an oral presentation. I also enjoyed Ana Maria’s presentation, I think she explained a complex topic and made it easier to understand. She showed a lot of examples using many instruments and for me it was really fun and interesting, yet I am still worried because of the hunter’s house! I can not pass over other interesting presentations, as Daniela V (she talked about milk) and Da Vinci, among others. I think it is a great experience making these kinds of presentations. Have a great weekend! Paula.
I think that all the presentations were very interesting without exception, but I have two in my mind. The first one is Bruce Lee (Mauricio´s presentation) it was very dynamic, despite he concentrated on the Jeet Kune Do more than Bruce Lee´s life, however the performance was original and the music was relaxing, Mauricio is a great actor I think. The second one is Leonardo Da Vinci (Carlos´s presentation) I think that I learnt a lot about Leonardo´s life, especially about his paintings, it was fun and the idea of the presentation is learn about famous people and their legacy, and we do the best!!!
Well about oral presentations were very good, I think, I could not see all of them because I had to have some problem to arrive early but I have seen some classmates doing it. In general, I believed that all they were awesome because everybody tried to do the best they could. Also I could realize that they search lot information because the most answer every question that the teacher did. They tried to be creative, some of them characterized a personage and it was amusing. I consider for us it was interesting and help us to understand and knew more easily about the presentation. Moreover every topic was shown in class; they were different, and concise. Almost all who did the presentation interacted with us and the teacher. If I have to choose just one classmate I believe the best was Paulina Muñoz. I understood everything that she said, also she did a very good performance, was funny, creative and concise. I think that she did a very great work. Neither I want to be unworthy of other because I know that everybody tried to do the best.
In my opinion, there were a lot of good presentations, one of them was Esmeralda and Macarena's presentation, they were neat and appropriate, their used clothes according to their topic Charles Chaplin, and that was creative and original. Also Paula's presentation was very original, nobody else used a video as extra material. Her perfomance in the video was very funny.
I do not want to choose just one presentation as the best, because it will be a bit unfair to forget that all of us did it as best we could, according to our own abilities, of course! Nevertheless, as I said before, and according to our abilities, there were better presentations than others, (of those ones that I saw) and one of those good presentations were by Maca and Esmeralda about Chaplin; it was very interesting the way in which they performed the topic, and they were very objective with the information too; neither much nor little, and the other presentation that I remember right away is Daniela Villanueva's one, because she was convincing with her speech. In fact, I was completely ignorant about Milk before Daniela's presentation; I did not know anything about him. Both presentations were those ones in which you enjoy the information, because the speakers created a pleasant environment, and had a good disposition to perform, and you did not have time to feel bored. But also I would like to add that this opportunity was very useful to realize those weak spots, which we must to improve ourselves, if we want to be real teachers.
I think there were many good presentations, one of them was Paula`s presentation, her presentation was so original and didactic, she did her topic was attractive with the video that she performed. Christian´s presentation was interesting too, he had a good pronunciation, appropriate voice and volume, his presentation was creative, precise and objective, which captured the attention of class. Also Ana`s presentation was good, it was so didactic, well prepared, and the atmosphere was relaxing and fun, which did we interested in the topic and laughed with her examples.
There were a lot of good presentations and very interesting topics too, different ways to introduce the information, to explain it, to make it easier….
Macarena and Esmeralda were awesome with the introduction without speech like in a Charles Chaplin’s way very creative, and you can notice when someone is enjoying what she is doing and I noticed that in their presentation, another good one could be Paula’s presentation with the video it was funny, creative and different, she acted very well!. Ana maria’s presentation also was quite good with the examples, she tried to make it easier and I think she did it.
All of us made some mistakes but we will have the possibility to improve in the next presentations that is the idea !...
In my opinion there wasn't only one good presentation. I saw a lot of presentations but none of these made me say: "oh,God this presentation was wonderful!", but I have to recognise that I would choose one aspect from each presentation, for example I would take the characterization of Paulina, the pronunciation of Esmeralda, the creativity of Ana María and Paula and obviously my sense of humour jajaja. We have to improve our presentations guys, but don't worry this was just the first one
In my opinion, there were many interesting presentations, but I think it is difficult to classify as the best one, within the most interesting for me was Paulina´s presentation, because it showed creativity, good pronunciation, it was ordered, and had a good handling of the topic,Paula´s presentation was also very attractive in visual terms, as she managed to capture the attention of the audience throughout his presentation.Ana´s presentation was based on examples, which is very interesting to be able to understand more clearly the issue. In general, appreciated all of presentations, because everyone always has to a degree of difficulty trying to make a presentation to the best.
Hello: I should have been at the all presentations, but I couldn´t for many reasons (my apologize). As a result, I was only in some pretty entertaining presentations. The topics were so good too.
Those who know me won´t be surprise because I am a monstrosity honest. I don´t think that I have got enough English to say who is the best; also I guess, was easy to mark on the peer evaluation rubric, because we didn´t have to write our names, wasn't it?, and now we have to give our "faces" for this.
We have been training for years how to use methodologies, skills, etc...we are still improving them, so I know that we can do it better.
Paulina, I arrived at the middle of your presentation, your phonetics and grammar are good (the sound of the music), and Paula Zuñiga your performance was funny and unique, you got the attention of the class; Cristian your voice is huge as well as your personality; Natalia and Patricio gave me a lot of information about Frida Kahlo who was really a resilient woman.
I think all presentations were very interesting, unfortunatly I couldnt see mauricio's but I liked very much charles chaplin because of it's content and because I didn't know much about him. I laugh aa lot with the videos. another thing i'd like to add is that I learnt a lot doing my presentation and in general it helped me and karla to improve our way of presenting whatever the subject is about.
